Exposition Park, CA – Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Normandie Ave near W 36th St
Exposition Park, CA (April 11, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed when he was struck by two vehicles in Exposition Park early Sunday, April 10. The wreck happened at approximately 2:55 a.m. near the intersection of Normandie Avenue and West 36th Street.
A man in his 30s was crossing the street when a southbound vehicle struck him, according to reports from the Los Angeles Police Department. The driver of the vehicle then fled the scene without stopping.
The man was then hit by a second vehicle, according to reports. The driver of the second vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
The pedestrian was trapped underneath the second vehicle and required extrication from fire crews. Once he was freed, he was pronounced deceased by paramedics.
The accident remains under police investigation at this time. Currently, no description is available concerning the suspect who initially struck the pedestrian.
