Santa Fe Springs, CA (May 4, 2022) – An injury wreck was reported in Santa Fe Springs on the evening of May 4. At approximately 6:24 p.m., authorities responded to the scene on Interstate 605. 

Sources say the accident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-605 near the Firestone Boulevard offramp. The total number of vehicles involved in the collision has not been reported. 

Paramedics rendered emergency aid to the injured parties. At least one person was taken to a local medical center for extensive treatment. 

Traffic delays were observed while emergency crews worked in the area. Drivers commuting near the crash scene were asked to find different routes so crews could work safely at the scene. 

Authorities in Santa Fe Springs continue to investigate the details of the collision.
